Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been won on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has had a torrid period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in specific - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's initial title since the Rome competition and first on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
The win also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at 21 various competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my children at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and frequent outbursts on court had prompted observers to question if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, taking 4 of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The pair traded breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his initial professional title, took control to force a decider.
Moutet defended 4 early-game break points in a close deciding set before the champion won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, he clinched the win with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
